An adolescent girl stepping into a vast space filled with resilience and perseverance, surrounded by two and four- story buildings, each symbolizing a unique perspective. Glancing to and fro towards a world without hatred or violence, hoping for a congenial atmosphere at all times, anticipates her bright future. Classrooms to study; hallway to stroll around with friends; Faculty to help nourish personality; Labs for practical learning; Gym to sweat away your mental fatigue; Library to escape reality; and peers to gossip around with, all this and many more facilities provided under one roof became a precious part of my life which I would love to reminisce about later in life. Looking back towards the fear that resided deep within me, one thing brought me much joy. Pursuing Optometry as my career made me realize the significance of vision I am blessed with; is beyond imagination a vast power to explore. Gaining insight of refractive errors, diseases, orthoptics and low vision escalated my interest within this field. From performing practical, to interacting with patients this institution has aided me in refining my skills and in recognizing my potential. The love of this field is now an integral part of the experience this academy has provided me. There are certain elements of hope lingering in the halls of this old building that this field has ignited in me from the first presentation that I gave here. The long drawn hours spent in my Internships remain a testament to my dedication in transforming me to a more driven individual. Furthermore, envisioning myself helping patients navigate the world through their eyes, embodying the belief that “Your eyes illuminate the strength of your soul” is one of the major goals this institution has instilled in me, directing me to focus, refine and implement my skills in a way that is beneficial for the community as a whole. In addition to nurturing my personality, boosting my confidence and enlightening me with invaluable knowledge for my future endeavors, these vital changes represent the greatest souvenir this alma mater has provided me with
